The COPT X Fellowship

The Copt X Fellowship is a non-denominational brotherhood of Copts and friends.

Its name is thusly explained:

A Copt is a native Egyptian, most of whom are Christian (whether nominal or practicing).

And on to the letter X... If you know anything about Christianity, you know that X denotes Christ. If you know anything about algebra, you know that X stands for variables; in this case, Protestant, Orthodox, Canadian, or British. As in Coptic Protestant, Coptic Orthodox, Coptic-Canadian or Coptic-British.
And if you know anything about X Culture Magazine, you know that, apart from the definition of X Culture, we like the letter X. A lot.

And so, there's the story of our name.

But we're more than just a name. Our mission is providing Copts of all faiths (or lack thereof) with a place to share their faith, or learn about different ones.

Some of the executive board members are Protestant, others are Orthodox. And some of us are somewhere in between! We're tied together by a love of Jesus, though, and the bond of language and culture.

Within these humble pages, you have the opportunity to tell us why you're in love with Jesus, what you thank Him for, what prayer requests you might have, what prayer requests God's answered in a big way, and the way you came to faith in Christ. You'll also notice a link entitled "Confession," where you can get something off your chest (but be warned, if you get into too much detail, the editors might have to shave some off of it, especially if it's racy or has names in it! You understand, right? Good!).

If you have a religious or real-life issue that you want advice on, visit the best Coptic discussion board out there, www.mycopticchurch.com. If you want to read the latest news on the Coptic struggle, hit www.copts.net. And if you want to find an Egyptian church in your area, hit the links section for some great recommendations.

But if you want to share your thoughts and experiences of God at work in your life, then you're in the right place. Send an email to coptx@xculturemag.com or use the anonymous form to have your entry added.

Thanks for visiting, feel free to make suggestions, and may God bless you richly!

Love in Christ,
